Leaked documents reveal US diplomats actually work for Monsanto

Biotech giant Monsanto has been genetically modifying the world's food supply and subsequently breeding environmental devastation for years, but leaked documents now reveal that Monsanto has also deeply infiltrated the United States government. With leaked reports revealing how U.S. diplomats are actually working for Monsanto to push their agenda along with other key government officials, Monsanto's grasp on international politics has never been clearer.

Amazingly, the information reveals that the massive corporation is also intensely involved in the passing and regulations concerning the very GM ingredients they are responsible for. In fact, the information released by WikiLeaks reveals just how much power Monsanto has thanks to key positions within the United States government and elsewhere. Not only was it exposed that the U.S. is threatening nations who oppose Monsanto with military-style trade wars, but that many U.S. diplomats actually work directly for Monsanto.

What the leaked documents reveal -- Military style trade wars, government corruption

In 2007 it was requested that specific nations inside the European Union be punished for not supporting the expansion of Monsanto's GMO crops. The request for such measures to be taken was made by Craig Stapleton, the United States ambassador to France and partner to George W. Bush. Despite mounting evidence linking Monsanto's GM corn to organ damage and environmental devastation, the ambassador plainly calls for 'target retaliation' against those not supporting the GM crop. In the leaked documents, Stapleton states:

"Country team Paris recommends that we calibrate a target retaliation list that causes some pain across the EU since this is a collective responsibility, but that also focuses in part on the worst culprits. The list should be measured rather than vicious and must be sustainable over the long term, since we should not expect an early victory. Moving to retaliation will make clear that the current path has real costs to EU interests and could help strengthen European pro-biotech voices."

The undying support of key players within the U.S. towards Monsanto is undeniably made clear not only in this release, but in the legislative decisions taken by organizations such as the FDA and USDA. Legislative decisions such as allowing Monsanto's synthetic hormone Posilac (rBGH) to be injected into U.S. cows despite being banned in 27 countries. How did Monsanto pull this off?

The biotech juggernaut managed to infiltrate the FDA positions responsible for the approval of rBGH, going as far as instating the company's own Margaret Miller as Deputy Director of Human Safety and Consultative Services. After assuming this position, Miller reviewed her own report on the safety and effectiveness of rBGH.

Many US diplomats pawns of Monsanto's GM agenda

While it may be shocking to you if you are not familiar with the corrupt influence of Monsanto, the cables also show that many US diplomats are pushing GMO crops as a strategic government and commercial imperative. Interestingly enough, the U.S. focused their efforts toward advisers to the pope specifically, due to the fact that many Catholic figureheads have openly voiced their opposition to GM foods. With this kind of political influence, is it any wonder that many food staples are now predominantly GM? Nearly 93% of U.S. soybeans are heavily modified conservatively, with many other staple crops coming in at similar numbers.

U.S. diplomats have unique opportunities to spread honest and intellectual campagins that can serve to better mankind and end suffering, however they are instead spreading the roots of Monsanto deeper and deeper into international territory. As a substitute for the betterment of mankind, these paid-off diplomats are now spreading environment desecration and health destruction.

As if there wasn't already enough information to reveal Monsanto's corruption, the biotech giant also spends enormous amount of money lobbying government each year. Monsanto spent an astonishing $2 million lobbying the federal government in the 3rd quarter of 2011 alone, according to mainstream sources. Why so much cash? The government lobbying focuses on issues like regulations for GM crops and patent reforms. This 'legal' form of persuasion is the reason government agencies like the USDA and FDA let Monsanto roam freely.

Satisfying government officials' financial vested interest is all that matters when dealing with corrupt mega-corporations like Monsanto. As long as these financial ties continue to exist, Monsanto will continue to reign over the food supply and continue to wreak devastation to the environment, ecosystem, and humankind.

Franken-Food Additives Poisoning the Masses

Our ancestors used salt to preserve meats and fish, added herbs and spices to sharpen the flavor of foods, preserved fruit with sugar, and pickled cucumbers in vinegar. They also had their own gardens, raised their own livestock, ate local and in season. However, they were not eating the Franken-foods of today, including genetically modified food, chemically preserved food, flavor “enhanced” food, sugar filled food, fortified food and hormone injected food. They certainly weren’t eating processed foods, filled with additives and stripped of nutrients. I think it’s safe to assume that they ate much better than we do today. How backwards have we gone that we now must pay more money for organic, chemical free and hormone free food? Who are these psychopaths coming up with the ideas to modify and poison our food? The FDA and the EFSA cannot be trusted. They lie. They don’t care about you.

Did you know that many retired FDA officials go to work as special advisors to the pharmaceutical and food industries? Federal agencies like the FDA, which were created to protect consumers, often behave like branch offices of companies like Monsanto, which they are supposed to regulate. We should all know about the horror of Monsanto by now.

The FDA approved irradiated foods, which become radioactive as a result of processing. Dr. Gayle Eversole says, “Food irradiation exposes food to the equivalent of 30 million chest X-rays. Irradiation creates new chemicals in foods called radiolytic products. Some of these products are known cancer-causing substances (like benzene in irradiated beef). Others are unique to the irradiation process and no one knows what effects these have on human health. Irradiation destroys essential vitamins and nutrients that are naturally present in food. No studies have been done to show that a long-term diet of irradiated foods is safe. Safer, well-tested alternatives to irradiation exist.” Wow, what an amazing breakthrough FDA! You sure care about us and the environment. Yet they’ll go on hiding under the cloak of concern and safety for the public.

The FDA has no definition for “natural” used on food labels and continues to be extremely sinister and sneaky by labeling MSG under many obscure names. Why? These people are psychotic and want to poison the masses.

The European Food Safety Authority isn’t off the hook either. According to the candid confession of Dr. Herman Koeter, former EFSA director who resigned in 2008, the EFSA was about to announce to the world that aspartame is a deadly neurotoxin, unsafe for humans in any form. But eleven of the “experts” had connections with the aspartame industry. Somehow the evidence was “lost.” EFSA declared this chemical poison is safe as rain. Safe for babies, safe for children, safe for pregnant mothers, safe for diabetics, safe for everybody! Excellent work EFSA! You really care about what matters most.

This article is intended to bring awareness about dangerous food additives. Like in the 1985 movie Brazil, where everyone orders food according to a number, instead of saying what it is, it doesn’t seem so far off from food labeling today.

If you live in the European Union, you’ve probably noticed the letter E followed by a number on a label of a food item. This identifies food additives (e.g., sweeteners, preservatives, stabilizers). Additives receive an E number (E for Europe), simplifying communication about food additives in the list of ingredients across the different languages of the EU. E-numbers are also encountered on food labeling in other jurisdictions, including the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Australia, New Zealand and Israel. They are increasingly, though still rarely, found on North American packaging, especially in Canada on imported European products.

It’s time to become a hawk reading food labels at the grocery store. Your physical body, mind and soul depend upon it.

If you live in the EU, you’ll see hundreds of different E-numbers. Most are toxic and will make you sick in time. Only eat from the following below, which come from natural sources. We’ll agree that the definition of natural is, produced by nature. (It was a shorter list to note the ok’s vs. the bad. For the USA list scroll down.)

The project of compiling a list of toxic ingredients has been daunting, aggravating and extremely disappointing because we face the fact that we are being deliberately poisoned and lied to. None of these ingredients are necessary. Only psychotics (or aliens who have infiltrated our food industry in order to kill us off) deem them necessary. As Jack LaLanne said "If man made it, don’t eat it." I question if mankind is even behind this because these chemical processes are so alien. This must run deeper than greed and availability.

Since not every toxic food additive is contained on these lists, remember a general rule while reading food labels. If you don’t know what it is, don’t eat it and the fewer ingredients the better. Even then, we must do some digging to verify that the foods we buy have not been genetically modified, including soy, wheat germ, maize, cottonseed and rice. You can always write the food manufacturer and ask! Make a list of ingredients to avoid and carry it with you when you go grocery shopping.

Make a lifestyle change and eat real, organic, hormone free and GMO free food. Support local farmers and companies who distribute organic food. They need our support! If you eat meat, know your local butchers so you can ask questions about how the animals are treated. You can discover ways to mix and match and spice up your menu with ingredients Mother Earth has already provided.

Monsanto connected to at least 200,000 suicides in India throughout past decade

Monsanto connected to at least 200,000 suicides in India throughout past decade by: Ethan A. Huff, st

Wed, 2011-01-05 03:23 — dave (NaturalNews) When India's seed economy was forced by the World Bank to become globalized in the late 1990s, economic conditions within the nation's agricultural sector almost immediately took a nosedive for the worst. Much of the common Indian seed stock turned from saveable heirloom varieties to patented, genetically-modified (GM) varieties that expire after a single use and require the application of expensive and cumbersome pesticides in order to grow, which plunged many Indian farmers into abject poverty. And nearly 25 years later, the devastating effects of this corporate takeover of Indian agriculturehas resulted in countless suicides, 200,000 of which have occurred just in the past ten years.

According to a recent report in theU.K. Independent, many Indian farmershave lost their farms and land over the past several decades. One of the primary causes is failed investments by farmers that banked heavily on the success of newly-introduced GM crops. Multinational biotechnology giants like Monsantoand Syngenta promised farmers that GM cropswould bring incredible yields at lower costs, and save the country from poverty. But in reality, many of the crops ended up failing, leaving millions of Indian farmers with absolutely nothing.

"One farmer every 30 minutes (commits suicide) in India now, and sometimes three in one family," explained Palagummi Sainath, an Indian journalist, to theU.K. Independent. Left with nowhere to turn and a complete loss of their livelihoods, many farmers are literally drinking their crop pesticides. And since many of these suicides go unreported or unnoticed, actual rates could be even higher than those reported.

Years of drought and poor agricultural policy are also to blame for the widespread failureof agriculture in many Indian regions, but it all appears directly connected to the introduction of GMs in the 1990s. TheU.K. Independentreport states that the Indian government removed cotton subsidies in 1997, which resulted in a significant profit loss for many cottonfarmers. But during that same year, GM varieties of cotton were also introduced, which many attribute directly to the crop failures that left the agriculture sector largely in ruin.

"Every suicide can be linked to Monsanto," explained scientist Vandana Shiva to theU.K. Independent. After subsidies were lifted, the cost of cotton production rose dramatically, especially when GM cotton was introduced because it required the application of expensive pesticides and herbicides. Natural varieties of cotton, on the other hand, do not necessarily require chemical applications to grow and flourish. And since farmers can save and reuse natural seeds every year, all is not lost during years of poorer yields because farmers can often try again the next year.

But in the GM crop paradigm, the stakes are far higher. Farmers must borrow large sums of money to invest in GM technology. They do so based on promises that yields will increase and profitswill soar. But when the promises fail to pan out and farmers are unable to keep paying for the expensive pesticides, they typically end up losing everything, including access to reusable heirloom seeds. So, many end up killing themselves because they literally have nothing left.

The introduction of GM agriculture in Indiashifted the agricultural economy from one of biodiversity to monoculture, which is hugely significant in India's agricultural failures. Rather than grow a variety of different heirloom crops that each respond differently to periodic changes in climate -- which Indian farmers have always done prior to the introduction of GM crops -- many farmers began to grow only one single GM variety. And when conditionsturned out not to be favorable for that crop, both economically and in terms of climate conditions, disaster ensued. In fact, one statistic from a government report in India states that more than 90 percent of known suicide victims were in debt, which was largely brought about when farmers took the plunge into GM crops from their former methods.

The globalization of agriculture in general has dramatically increased poverty in India, as crop subsidies in other nations began to affect Indian agriculture, driving down crop profits. Indian farmers have lost billions of dollars over the years from having to compete in the global agricultural marketplace rather than grow their own biodiverse crops to feed their own people. Global powers have literally robbed India of its self-reliance and self-sustenance in the name of "ending poverty" by thrusting upon them a system of monopolized agriculture controlled and operated by companies like Monsanto. And unless India somehow secedes from the global system of corruption, conditions will only become increasingly worse for its people.

Perhaps some of you remember the day when the National Organic Standards Board and most consumers knew nothing about GMO. And we had to get educated fast and just managed to save the Organic standards from GMO on a case to case basis which was being pushed by Gene Kahn of Cascadian who sold out to Welches. Well....here is the next wave that you must be prepared for. I suggest the leaders of food movements take the time to educate themselves this weekend.

THIS IS ABOUT THE APPLICATION OF THE RELATIVELY NEW SCIENCE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY TO FOOD

It relates to S.510 the Food Safety bill

It relates to the Organic Certification diminution and Kraft being "krafty" in preparing the way with the its lobbying a few years ago to potentially set up the Organic standards to employ its patented nanotechnology and create organic product lines...like Organic diet drinks, for example.

... for your education, Tiny primer (primer for you on nanotechnology from www.etcgroup.org)

And a blurb about SENOMYX.

And a video series by Bruce Lipton that is very enlightening when you think about how Senomyx must work.

Bruce Lipton Perception (beliefs) controls genes (series of 10)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJXRjEPEhL0&feature=related

Renowned cell biologist, former University of Wisconsin Medical School professor and Stanford University researcher Bruce Lipton, PhD, MD.

... The question ultimately comes down to the "programmer," those that decide what intention they have for Senomyx. This means , "Do we trust the corporations to use this "drug" for the benefit of health. Well there, I have a clear answer ... and that is, NO! Interestingly, they company has made a concerted effort to keep their meddling out of the public and off of the labels. That, in itself, is the revelation of their intent. Upfront, they will crow about the virtues of Senomyx, and in the back room they are likely considering the manufacture of cheap Senomyx-flavored polystyrene food substitutes.

Given the moral compass of today's food industry corporations, legitimizing Senomyx is like giving a gun to the guy who is already threatening your life with a knife.

Hope this personal assessment is useful!

Bruce

more from: from Eileen Dannemann:

Folks...You had better get familiar with nanotechnology. It is a technology of such small scale they are putting it in our food and drinks without labeling...for example Kraft, Nestle, Coca Cola, Campbell...Senomyx...An unlabeled food enhancer that will allow manufacturers (such as Kraft who is an "organic" foods processor) to put it in our drinks instead of sugar say, or salt or even msg. But the caveat is....Senomyx, as an example of nano technology that basically when consuming the product, it DRUGS our tongue receptors so that we "think" we are eating sugar but we are not. Are we going to allow the food manufacturers to destroy our trust in our senses? If so..the children and the intelligent of world had better start developing the advance inner sixth sense which they can't touch.

It was, by the way, a Kraft related lobbyist who diluted the organic standards

Senate Bill 510 Food Safety does not mention nanotechnology as a safety issue. Are they really interested in food safety or controlling the market?
