Eating GMO's While Sitting in Starbucks

The vast majority of the country believes people have a right to know what is in their food and that GMOs must be labeled.

(NEW YORK ) - Across the country rage is growing about GMOs and their being unleashed one after another on the country. While Europe, despite immense pressure from the Clinton administration, banned them altogether, the FDA hid 40,000 documents indicating their extreme toxicity, to get them introduced in the US.

Ten years after Monsanto's Bt corn was first planted in 1996, diabetes had increased 90% with the highest incidence among Hispanics for whom corn is a sacred and central part if their diet.

Those GMOs are being kept unlabeled. A Monsanto official once said to label them would be like putting a skull and cross bones on them.

The vast majority of the country believes people have a right to know what is in their food and that GMOs must be labeled.
Meanwhile students and professionals, most of whom agree that GMOs should be labeled, are complacently eating unlabeled GMOs daily at Starbucks.

The GMO situation has become starkly clear. They do not even qualify as food. Food, by normal definition, supports life and fertility and heals.

But GMOs are in fact causing infertility and spontaneous abortions in animals and are destroying reproductive organs. This comes on top of studies indicating a relationship to diabetes, cancer, asthma, and birth defects.

The Starbucks clientele purchasing elegant looking items believes what they are eating is nourishing food but the pesticides and GMOs, aside from being toxic in themselves, bind to the crucial micronutrients in soil and in the plants, preventing them from being accessed for use by micro-organisms or animals or humans.

What matters in food; what makes food, food - is unavailable. It is not by accident that the corporations have actually gotten food redefined as "stuff."

If they contain corn, soy, canola oil, sugar or cottonseed oil, present in most processed "stuff" in the US, the tempting pastries at Starbucks include GMOs.

Those pastries contain GMOs developed by Monsanto which also developed the nuclear bomb, PCBs (considered the most toxic substance known), chemicals weapons, Agent Orange.

If one were to be more accurate about GMOs not being food, one would say that the "stuff" actually meets the definition of bioweapon. This should not be startling since Monsanto has made its fortune in creating weapons of destruction, and with GMOs they shifted to biologic ones (that are patented) that people are tricked or trapped into being exposed to.

It is no wonder that people hate Monsanto and consider it the most evil corporation on earth - it is conducting a war against them, albeit a stunningly surreptitious.
Every day students and professionals who likely have signed petitions against Monsanto sit at Starbucks eating Monsanto's "stuff."

Starbucks could easily label the GMOs there (their food offerings are standardized and quite limited) if its educated clientele demanded it do so. It could also let its customers know how artificial (and potentially GMO as well) its syrups are. It could tell the truth and begin to sell real food.

Starbucks has a quality image but since it is selling GMOs, it is solely image. The reality is the company is buying cheap "stuff" and serving Monsanto toxins to their customers.

They also sell the New York Times - more "quality" image - which in response to the surging national demand for GMO labeling, said there was no evidence that GMOs are harmful.

No evidence. Strange. The evidence is overwhelming.
Just as Monsanto hid documents showing the extreme toxicity of their PCBs for decades even as people in Anniston, Alabama were dying, but the truth finally came out, so, too, is the truth coming out on the hidden FDA files, the disturbing early studies by Puszstai, the subsequent studies by Seralini and scientists in Argentina and elsewhere, the reports of abnormal reproductive organs by midwives in Asia, along with highly disturbing evidence from agricultural bioweapons expert Don Huber. Revelations of GMO toxicity is pouring out from country after country.

Meanwhile as people learn the truth and seek organic food, at the FDA, the same Monsanto executive who unleashed GMOs in the US in the first place, who designed the "food safety" bills and then became Czar of "food safety" at the FDA, having given himself power over all food and farms, is now sending out armed FBI agents against farmers and buying clubs involved with organic (the only actual) food.

Customers at Starbucks are paying to eat GMOs, thinking they are getting actual food, while the Monsanto executive at the FDA has his agency arguing in court that the public has no right to choose its food. And, tipping off how serious this all is, no right to their bodily and physical health.

As students and professionals consume unlabeled GMOs at Starbucks here, in Europe GMOs must be labeled. And then they don't sell. So Starbucks is forced to serve real food in Europe.

Here, whether customers drive through or come in, "Welcome to Starbucks!" is the cheery prelude to Starbucks selling its American clientele GMOs.

Most Coffee is Heavily Sprayed With Pesticides

Next time you visit Starbucks, or any other coffee house think about this:
Most people are not aware that regular coffee consumption can be a significant source of pesticides. According to the CS Monitor, conventional farmers apply up to 250 pounds of chemical fertilizers per acre!
Pesticides contribute to a wide range of health problems, including prostate and other types of cancers, Parkinson’s disease, and miscarriages in pregnant women.
So when you sip on your non-organic morning brew, you are also sipping on pesticide residues. Further, the U.S. has limited input and control over the type and quantity of pesticides used in the countries from which we import.
Since the vast majority of coffee, both organic and non-organic, consumed in the U.S. is grown outside this country, a return to non-organic farming of coffee beans in Latin America means a return to heavy use of pesticides.

More Coffee Adverse Effects
Coffee increases your risk for rheumatoid arthritis, leukemia, stomach cancer, and stroke. It can further wreak havoc on your health by:
  • Raising your cholesterol
  • Sending your insulin levels out of control
  • Damaging your blood vessels
  • Increasing your risk of heart disease
  • Damaging your body’s metabolism
  • Increasing your risk of osteoporosis
Coffee also interferes with your body’s ability to use folate and vitamins B12 and B6. These nutrients are important in order to keep your homocysteine level in the healthy range. Elevated homocysteine levels are associated with a wide range of devastating health conditions.
Coffee also stimulates your adrenals -- the hormones that activate your fight or flight response. If your adrenal hormones are stimulated too often, which is bound to happen if you are a daily coffee drinker, your adrenal glands may eventually burn out.
When your adrenals no longer function effectively, your body will go in search of a replacement hormone -- which happens to be progesterone.
Progesterone has its own full-time job to do, part of which is to keep your body’s estrogen in balance. As your progesterone is used up compensating for your exhausted adrenals, you run the risk of becoming estrogen dominant.
Estrogen dominance can lead to osteoporosis.
Coffee also raises the acidity level of your blood, causing calcium to be pulled from your bones and teeth for use as a buffering agent. The combination of estrogen dominance and high blood acidity puts you at an even greater risk for osteoporosis. In fact, research has established an undeniable link between coffee consumption and hip fractures.
If You’re Planning a Family, Coffee Should Not be on the Menu
If you’re pregnant or planning to be, you should avoid coffee altogether.
Over 300 mg of caffeine a day, which is the equivalent of two to three eight ounce cups of coffee, can increase your risk of:
  • Miscarriage
  • Delivering a low birth weight baby
  • Having a child with certain birth defects like cleft palate
Four or more cups of coffee a day may increase your baby’s risk of SIDS.
When you’re pregnant, any caffeine you ingest passes easily through the placenta to your unborn child.
It is also transferred through breast milk, and stays in your body – and the body of your unborn child or infant – longer than average. Your unborn baby has no ability to detoxify this drug.

f You Must Drink Coffee …
If you simply MUST drink coffee here are a few tips to help reduce the chances of harmful effects:
  1. Use organic coffee – Again, coffee is a heavily sprayed crop, so drinking organic coffee might reduce or eliminate the exposure to toxic herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers. The only drawback is that the countries where coffee is produced probably have less control and monitoring for compliance to organic practices. You will also be helping to protect the health of the people working in the coffee fields, as you will be helping to reduce their toxic exposure as well. If you want to go a step further, look for fair-trade certified coffee, which means the coffee farmers have been paid fairly and treated well.
  2. "Swiss Water Process" decaf -- If you are going to drink decaffeinated coffee, be sure that it is one that uses a non-chemical based method of decaffeination. The "Swiss Water Process" is a patented method and is the best choice. Most of the major brands are chemically decaffeinated, even if it says "Naturally Decaffeinated" right on the container. If you are unsure of the methods, contact the manufacturer.
  3. Avoid sugar and/or milk -- These are actually much worse for you than the coffee itself. Don't compound the detrimental health effects by adding milk or sugar to your coffee.
  4. Unbleached filters -- If you use a "drip" coffee maker, be sure to use non-bleached filters. The bright white ones, which most people use, are chlorine bleached and some of this chlorine will be extracted from the filter during the brewing process.

5 easy steps to a more alkaline diet

Let's go over some pH basic background before getting into how to maintain a neutral (7.0) or slightly alkaline (7.4) pH blood reading for optimum health.

The term pH literally means power Hydrogen. It's a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions. Each number of the pH scale represents a ten-fold difference in that concentration. Your alkaline buffer system has to work hard to neutralize overall acidity.

Food pH measurements can be deceptive. Just because a citrus fruit or apple cider vinegar measures a low or acidic pH doesn't mean it is acid yielding.

The key word is yielding, and it points to the metabolic result after ingestion. Even squeezing lemon or lime into a glass of water creates an alkaline yielding liquid.

Testing your pH by saliva or urine will result in slightly lower (acid) readings than your blood pH. Urine, especially from your first urination, will tend to be even lower as your kidneys have worked on eliminating acidity.

Not to worry if you're getting readings in the high sixes from either test. Different organs may have different pH readings than your blood reading as well.

Acidosis occurs when the blood reading goes below seven and stays there. This is usually what kills cancer patients, especially those who are poisoned with chemo or radiation.

Five simple approaches for an alkaline yielding diet

Your alkaline buffer system is designed to take care of the inevitable alkaline/acid yielding food mix. But overworking your buffer will deplete it. Here's a list of acid and alkaline yielding foods to get an idea of what they are.

Read the "note" at the bottom of the list (http://www.naturalnews.com/Report_acid_alkaline_pH_5.html).

(1) Try to balance your diet with a 60/40 ratio of alkaline yielding foods to acid yielding, then up the ratio to 80/20. Typically, standard American diets (SAD) consist of mostly acid yielding foods. Fake fats, sugar, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), bleached white breads and pastries and so on are extremely acid yielding.

Focus on organic green veggies, smoothies, and juicing as well as green super foods such as chlorella. Fruits of all types, even citrus fruits considered acid, are all alkaline yielding.

(2) Moderate exercise helps the lymph eliminate acid wastes. Over exercising can create lactic acid which is - well, acidic. It's all about balance.

(3) Hydrate. Spring water is alive and alkaline, but few have access to it. It's necessary to drink water treated by reverse osmosis to remove fluorides. The treated water tends to be acid yielding. That's remedied by a squeeze of lime or lemon or a few drops of liquid trace minerals available from your health food store.

(4) Speaking of minerals, key minerals involved with the buffering process are magnesium, potassium, calcium, and sodium. Ironically, dairy foods tend to be alkaline yielding. So other sources of calcium should be looked into.

It might be necessary to supplement magnesium, potassium, and calcium, at least until you've established an alkaline yielding diet. Look into magnesium oil (actually water applied topically) for the best magnesium solution.

(5) Oxygenate, sleep better, and stress less. Use deep breathing exercises or oxygen enhancing supplements. Increasing oxygen to cells increases their pH. Don't confuse that with cellular oxidation. Acidic cells cannot metabolize oxygen, so they ferment glucose to survive and become cancerous.

Stress and poor sleep contribute to lower pH or acidity. Cancer cells cannot exist in a high pH and oxygen-rich environment. High pH and strong cellular oxygenation are directly linked.

You can maintain your pH balance with these simple steps while ignoring those expensive magic-bullet pH boosting products.

Seaweed toothpaste stops tooth decay

Brushing and flossing doesn't always keep you out of the dentist's chair, a chair we all need to avoid. Amalgams inserted into cavities are loaded with toxic mercury that leaks into our bodies. Root canals have been discovered to be the root of some chronic illnesses. (Natural News, source below).

Of course, fluoride doesn't help prevent tooth decay. Instead, it contributes to bad physical and mental health and lowers I.Q. while diminishing will power. It's toxic and actually causes dental fluorosis, decaying tooth enamel that will put you back into that dental chair.

So what to do to avoid the barbarism of modern dentistry? It appears that sea life may come to the rescue. A group of UK scientists are experimenting with enzymes extracted from seaweed microbes that may be able to remove the microbes in dental plaque.

The Newcastle University research team had originally pursued this line of research into seaweed's Bacillus lichenifromis for the ship industry to see if these microbes would help clean ships' hulls without going into expensive dry dock maintenance that also takes a ship's time away from the sea.

Actually, it's not the microbes themselves that deliver the cleansing. It's the enzymes they produce. This type of enzyme has to come from raw seaweed. Heat destroys enzymes.

From seawater to ship hulls to dental plaque

Dr. Nick Jakubovics of the Newcastle University School of Dental Sciences discovered how these same enzymes produced by seaweed microbes could eliminate plaque on, between, and behind the teeth if utilized in an oral mouthwash or toothpaste.

Dr. Jakubovics explained: "Plaque on your teeth is made up of bacteria which join together to colonize an area ... scrubbing off the plaque containing bacteria is not always effective ... We found this enzyme can remove some of these undesirable bacteria from plaque."

Plaque is made up from lots of decaying bacteria. When those cells die, their DNA leaks out to form a biofilm that sticks to teeth. The dental research into seaweed enzyme producing microbes focuses on eliminating the need to eliminate plaque entirely.

Instead, the idea is to simply remove the bacteria like Streptococcus mutans that actually cause tooth decay. Dr. Jakubovics and his team intend to present their findings to the UK's Society of Applied Microbiology.

Dr. Jakubovics comes across in a radio interview as very conservative with how long it may take to go from research to market with his findings. Perhaps because he's familiar with the UK's process that rivals the USA's FDA hoops for approval. The short radio interview is available in the BBC Report below.

Some of those hoops could be provided by dental profession groups' desire to not reduce office visits that require laborious plaque removal work. Worse yet, actually reducing cavities would eliminate a lot of dental business.

In the UK's system of socialized medicine, that would logically reduce the national economic burden of health care. But logic isn't always worshiped by governments and egoistic medical groups, as evidenced by recent manic attempts to remove vastly less expensive homeopathy health care from England's medical system (http://www.naturalnews.co/034164_medical_monopoly_homeopathy.html).

Here in the USA, that could result in even more opposition from the American Dental Association (AMA) bureaucrats who control the dental trade union to keep dentists in business. Even as the AMA publicly supports water fluoridation from industrial waste fluorides to prevent tooth decay, there is no evidence of less tooth decay from toxic public water fluoridation.

Why should dentists even really want less tooth decay? How could they pay their staff, lease all that expensive dental apparatus, and buy more BMWs to park in their McMansions?

Six Surprising Foods with More Sugar than a Twinkie

By Dr. Mercola
Of all the foods capable of inflicting damage in your body, sugar is one of the most damaging of all.Sugar, and the type of sugar known as fructose, in particular, is an extremely potent pro-inflammatory agent that creates advanced glycation end products (AGEs) and speeds up the aging process.
It also promotes the kind of dangerous growth of fat cells around your vital organs which is the hallmark of diabetes and heart disease.
Sugar also increases your insulin and leptin levels and decreases receptor sensitivity for both of these vital hormones, and this is another major factor of premature aging and age-related chronic degenerative diseases such as heart disease, as well as a leading cause of the climbing rates of overweight and obesity in developed countries.
That sugar is bad for your health is probably old news to you by now, but what may surprise you is just how much sugar is lurking in foods that are often passed off as "healthy."
Many supposedly "good for you" foods have more sugar than a Twinkie!

Are You Eating These Sugar-Laden "Health" Foods?

The Huffington Post recently outed several foods that are so high in sugar, you may as well be eating a candy bar. All of these also have more sugar than a Twinkie …
  • Yogurt: Most commercial yogurt is loaded with sugar – as in, over 30 grams for 6 ounces! This, along with the fact that commercial yogurt is pasteurized (and some also contains artificial colors and flavors), is why you should walk right on by the yogurt section at your supermarket. Watch out, too, for "light" yogurt brands that boast less sugar due to toxic artificial sweeteners.
  • On the other hand, yogurt that is made from raw organic milk, and which you eat either plain or only minimally sweetened with some berries or liquid stevia, is a true health food. This is something you can easily do at home and use the healthiest raw ingredients, including organic grass-fed raw milk as the starter.
  • Tomato Sauce: A cup of tomato sauce can add up to over 20 grams of sugar, and considering that most people eat that tomato sauce on top of pasta, another carb source, this could send you into sugar overload. Watch out, specifically, for brands that contain added sweeteners. Tomato sauce is a far better choice than a candy bar, but, ideally, make your own sauce at home, and serve it over shredded spaghetti squash instead of noodles.
  • Granola Bars: Sugar is often one of the top ingredients in granola bars, and, in fact, most are not much different than a candy bar, nutritionally speaking. Even the granola is simply another form of "hidden sugar" that most people eat far too much of. Remember, sugar and dietary carbohydrates (including grains like granola, which break down into sugar) lead to excess body fat, obesity and related health issues. No amount of exercise can compensate for this damage because if you eat a lot of sugar, it could be "reprogramming" your body to become fat.
  • Fat-Free Salad Dressing: When manufacturers take the fat out of a food, sugar is often added back in as a replacement. Fat-free French or Thousand Island dressings can contain over 40 grams of sugar as a result, turning a would-be healthy salad into something more resembling a dessert. Don't be fooled by the "fat-free" label -- it's the carbs that are the culprit in weight gain and chronic disease.
  • Muffins: The high amount of carbs in most muffins will profoundly interfere with your leptin and insulin levels, and that is true even if it's a "healthy" muffin, like a bran muffin. Of course, in order to make a bran muffin palatable, it probably contains quite a bit of added sugar, on top of the grains it's made with. Many muffins are also jumbo-sized, easily packing over 30 grams of sugar, or more.
  • Canned Fruit: Fruit in and of itself can be problematic if eaten in excess, as it's a source of naturally occurring fructose. But many canned fruits are also packed in sugary syrup, loaded with high fructose corn syrup. Just one cup of canned peaches or pears can contain over 30 grams of sugar. You're far better off with a fresh piece of fruit instead, but use moderation. I recommend restricting your consumption of fructose to no more than 25 grams per day, with a maximum of 15 grams a day from fresh fruit. If you're already overweight, or have cancer, heart disease or diabetes (or are at high risk of them), then you're probably better off cutting that down to 10-15 grams per day -- fruit included.

Why a High-Sugar Diet Will Make You Fat

If you are seeking to lose weight and optimize your health, foods that contain added sugar, as well as grains like bread and pasta should be eliminated or else comprise very low percentages of your diet. Most people who bought into the "high-carb, low-fat" dietary recommendations has likely struggled with their weight and health, wondering what they're doing wrong.
The problem is that overeating carbohydrates can prevent a higher percentage of fats from being used for energy, and lead to an increase in fat production and storage. Your body has a limited capacity to store excess carbohydrates. This is one of the reasons why elevated blood sugar follows their overconsumption. If you are not able to immediately use the sugar as a result of intense physical activity then one of the ways your body avoids dangerously elevated blood sugar is through converting those excess carbohydrates into excess body fat primarily in your belly.
The way it works is that any carbohydrates not immediately burned by your body as fuel are stored in the form of glycogen (a long string of glucose molecules linked together). Your body has two storage sites for glycogen: your liver and your muscles. Once the glycogen levels are filled in both your liver and muscles, excess carbohydrates are converted into fat and stored in your adipose, that is, fatty tissue.
So, although carbohydrates are "fat-free," this is misleading because excess carbohydrates end up as excess fat. When you see refined grains on a food label, think of them as "hidden sugar," and when you see sugar, think of it as "hidden fat."
But that's not the worst of it.
Any meal or snack high in "complex" carbohydrates, i.e. starch is actually a complex of glucose molecules, will also generate a rapid rise in blood glucose. To adjust for this rapid rise, your pancreas secretes insulin, which then lowers your levels of blood glucose. The problem is that insulin is essentially a storage hormone, evolved to put aside excess carbohydrate calories in the form of fat in case of future famine. So the insulin that's stimulated by excess carbohydrates aggressively promotes the accumulation of body fat! This was enormously useful in ancient times when calories were frequently scarce, but today this setup is a disaster waiting to happen.
In other words, when you eat too much sugar, bread, pasta, and any other grain products, you're essentially sending a hormonal message, via insulin, to your body that says "store more fat."  This is actually a highly beneficial response in certain scenarios such as when calories are very scarce. This provides a major survival advantage -- but for nearly everyone reading this, having insufficient calories is not an issue, so this protective mechanism actually sabotages your health.
If you're having trouble getting your mind around this, a wonderful infographic created by Column Five for Massive Health, based on Why We Get Fat by science writer Gary Taubes, explains exactly why eating fat doesn't make you fat -- but eating carbs like sugar can kill you …

Is It Possible to Cut Out Dietary Sugar and Still Feel Satisfied?

Based on USDA estimates the average American consumes 12 teaspoons of sugar a day, which equates to about TWO TONS of sugar during a lifetime. Why we eat this much sugar is not difficult to understand -- it tastes good, and it gives us pleasure by triggering an innate process in your brain via dopamine and opioid signals.
What it is doing to us on both a physical and emotional level is another story entirely, and most people stand to reap major improvements in their health by cutting back on, or eliminating, sugar altogether from their diets. Many do not realize this, but frequent hunger may be a major clue that you're not eating correctly. Your body needs fuel regularly and if you don't provide it with the proper amounts of fats and protein and overload on sugars, you will not fill your energy reserves properly. This sets up a vicious cycle of cravings for the sugar that will solve the problem in the short run but serve to radically shorten your life in the long term.
Just remember that your body is very intelligent and only seeking to keep you alive and healthy. The cravings are its short-term solution to keep you alive and functioning. But you need to exert some higher order cognitive skills to understand how to shift out of carb burning and into a fat-burning machine. Fat is far more satiating than carbs, so if you have cut down on sugar and feel ravenous, thinking you "can't do without the carbs," remember this is a sign that you haven't replaced them with sufficient amounts of fat. So go ahead and add a bit more healthy fats from the list below:
Olives and Olive oil Coconuts and coconut oil Butter made from raw grass-fed organic milk
Raw nuts, such as, almonds or pecans Organic pastured egg yolks Avocados
Grass-fed meats Palm oil Unheated organic nut oils

According to experts, carbs should ideally make up 20-30 percent of your diet, while 50-70 percent of your diet should be healthy fats. While many can appear to be healthy on vastly different ratios it is best to examine the long-term consequences of veering far from these ratios when deciding if they make sense to follow for you personally.
In order to achieve this and minimize your sugar intake, you need to avoid most processed foods, as even savory foods like salad dressing, soup, and bread often contain added sugar. For optimal health, eat natural whole foods primarily, and limit your fructose consumption to below 25 grams per day. If you still want to use a sweetener occasionally, the sweet herb stevia makes a good sugar substitute. (Avoid ALL artificial sweeteners, which can damage your health even more quickly than sugar.)

How to Kick Your Sugar Addiction to the Curb

If you're struggling with sugar addiction and having trouble dealing with cravings, I highly recommend trying an energy psychology technique called Turbo Tapping, which has helped many "soda addicts" kick their sweet habit, and it should work for any type of sweet craving you may have. A couple of other tricks to try to kick your sugar cravings:
  • Exercise: Anyone who exercises intensely on a regular basis will know that significant amounts of cardiovascular exercise is one of the best "cures" for food cravings. It always amazes me how my appetite, especially for sweets, dramatically decreases after a good workout. I believe the mechanism is related to the dramatic reduction in insulin levels that occurs after exercise.
  • Organic, black coffee: Coffee is a potent opioid receptor antagonist, and contains compounds such as cafestrol -- found plentifully in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee -- which can bind to your opioid receptors, occupy them and essentially block your addiction to other opioid-releasing foods.i ii This may profoundly reduce the addictive power of other substances, such as sugar.

Heal your thyroid by banishing inflammation, boosting immunity and improving digestive health

Thyroid hormones regulate other hormones, including the adrenal glands' adrenaline production. Thyroid gland hormones also influence cellular metabolism, digestion, libido, and overall energy.

There are three maladies involving the thyroid. Not everyone knows he or she has a thyroid issue even while exhibiting low energy or the inability to lose weight. One is an autoimmune disease and the other two are conditions.

The disease is known as Hashimoto's disease, which actually slowly destroys the thyroid while potentially creating both conditions. In addition to both conditions alternating with Hashimoto's disease, a swollen thyroid or goiter which becomes evident.

The two conditions are hypothyroidism, not enough hormone production or utlization, and the other is hyperthyroidism, or overactive thyroid that causes too much hormone production.

Hypothyroidism is the more common condition with its symptoms of low energy, fatigue, low libido, overweight problems and sensitivity to cold.

Hyperthyroidism can lead to nervousness, restlessness, manic behavior, and difficulty concentrating. Goiter and weight loss can also manifest. Pre-Nazi Germany used sodium fluoride to reduce the excessive hormone production of hyperthyroid patients.

Now, fluoride is in over 75 percent of USA's public water supplies, to keep American citizens dumb and docile with decreased thyroid hormone production.

It's a good idea to eliminate the possibility of Hashimoto's disease before pursuing hypothyroid solutions because the solutions for hypothyroidism are actually dangerous for those with Hashimoto's disease.

Hypothyroidism signs and remedies

Hypothyroidism may be the most common hormonal deficiency in the Western world. It can even occur when the thyroid does produce enough thyroid hormones that are not utilized properly. That's known as thyroid hormone resistance, which produces the same symptoms as hypothyroidism.

Many who think they have fibromyalgia may simply have one of these two manifestations of hypothyroidism. According to Dr. John Lowe, conventional testing can fall short of diagnosing hypothyroidism, especially for those with thyroid hormone resistance.

That's because the T3, T4, and TH hormone counts can appear normal with someone experiencing thyroid hormone resistance. Also, allopathic endocrinologists often have a low expectation of normal. When it comes to remedying thyroid hormone resistance, the high amounts of thyroid hormone Dr. Lowe recommends shock the average endocrinologist.

Dr. Lowe has discovered that treating fibromyalgia complaints the same as hypothyroidism works very well. He uses an additional TRH (thyroid releasing hormone) test with symptom observations.

A simple self-administered test would be to take your temperature immediately upon waking up from a regular night's sleep. A low temperature indicates probable thyroid hormone deficiency, according to Donna Gates of Body Ecology website.

Here is an abbreviated list of other symptoms, most of which resemble fibromyalgia.

* Fatigue mistaken as fibromyalgia
* Unable to lose or stop gaining weight
* Feeling cold easily and often
* Dry skin, eyes, or hair
* Excess muscle tension
* Low immunity
* Low basal body temperature
* Delayed tendon reflex, when the foot returns position slowly after tapping the Achilles heel

Dr. Lowe's complete list of symptoms can be found here: (http://www.drlowe.com/geninfo/hyposymptoms.htm)

It's common for holistic health practitioners to recommend a quality iodine supplement or seaweed consumption. Iodine is thyroid food. They also recommend various natural thyroid hormone supplements.

It makes sense that increased fibromyalgia incidents coincide with a rise in iodine deficiency since iodine was taken out of table salt. Increasing iodine or using thyroid hormone supplements will help a thyroid that's hormone deficient.

Additionally, a comprehensive metabolic approach is required that could also prove helpful for Hoshimoto's disease.

Avoid inflammation causing processed foods and pharmaceutical drugs. Eat organically produced whole vegetables, nuts, legumes, fruits and grains (some say eliminate grains). Hydrate with non-fluoridated water, exercise, and stress less. (http://www.naturalnews.com/032129_fluoridation_intelligence.html)

Lady Gaga's new perfume created using blend of human blood, semen, and poisonous extract

If you have ever doubted the truly satanic essence of the infamous Lady Gaga, then you need look no further than her new perfume, which is expected to debut this fall. According to the Boston Globe and various other sources, the new Gaga scent, known as "Fame," was created using a sample of Gaga's own blood, as well as semen from another unknown donor. The blend apparently also contains a highly-toxic plant extract that is known to kill humans.

It could all just be one big demonic publicity stunt to market the ugly black liquid packaged in an alien-like, egg-shaped bottle held by what appear to be slender claws. But several sources confirm that Gaga literally used her own DNA to create the scent, which included offering up a blood sample that was actually added to the fragrance batch. Where the alleged semen came from, though, is still unknown.

"It was taken out of my own blood sample, so it's a sense of having me on your skin," said Gaga in early 2011 about the perfume. "I wanted to extract sort of the feeling and sense of blood and semen from molecular structures ...That is in the perfume, but it doesn't smell like that. Actually, the perfume smells like an expensive hooker."

Lady Gaga scent contains poisonous plant extract

The ingredient list printed on the fragrance bottle says it contains "Tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and, the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops." Of particular concern here is "Tears of Belladonna," which Starcasm.net reports is an extract of an extremely poisonous plant known as Belladonna, or "Deadly Nightshade."

Deadly Nightshade has apparently been used throughout history as both an anesthetic and a poison. The berries produced by the plant appear safe and delicious, but just a few of them can kill a child -- and a single leaf, in fact, is capable of killing a grown adult. Perhaps this is a metaphor for Gaga herself, as millions are drawn into her mysterious persona and musical style, only to be destroyed by the monster hiding within.

But in all seriousness, this extract, if truly present in Gaga's perfume, is highly problematic for human health, not to mention the potential presence of blood and semen. Italian women used to apply extracts of Deadly Nightshade in their eyedrops to make their eyes dilate, a practice that has since been determined be very risky.

So between the toxic belladonna extract, the blood, and the semen, any rational person will clearly be able to see that avoiding Lady Gaga's "Fame" scent like the plague is the only option here. Then again, these additives may not be any more toxic than the synthetic, petrochemical-based fragrance chemicals added to most other perfumes.

Find natural sunburn and bug bite relief in your own kitchen

Summer is an exciting season filled with swimming pools and barbeques. Unfortunately, increased time spent outdoors often results in painful sunburns and itchy bug bites that can ruin the fun in a hurry. There are many commercial products available for relieving the discomfort. However, if you would prefer to know exactly what you are rubbing into your skin, then next time you suffer from one of these summertime fun-wreckers, head to your kitchen for one of these all-natural remedies instead!

Sunburn

Of course it is best to avoid getting a sunburn in the first place by eating a diet high in antioxidant-rich foods, wearing protective clothing during peak sunshine hours, etc. But if you do inadvertently get sunburned, there are many natural home remedies available. Aloe Vera gel and apple cider vinegar are among the more widely-known remedies, but there is another source of relief that can be found in your refrigerator as well. Applying egg whites to a sunburn will cool the burn, ease the pain and offer immediate and lasting relief. Just crack open a farm-fresh egg, and separate the yolk from the white. Rub the egg white over the affected skin, and allow it to dry completely. Do not rinse. If possible, allow the egg white to remain on the skin overnight. Enjoy the immediate relief and cooling sensation and reapply after bathing or as necessary if pain returns.

Bug Bites

Itchy bug bites can really put a damper on your summertime fun and they can even disrupt your sleep at night. Banana skins offer immediate and lasting relief from itchy bug bites and they will also relieve any pain or swelling associated with the bites. Just peel a banana and tear off a bit of the skin. Rub the inside of the skin over the bite. It will be a bit slimy at first, so be sure to let it dry well. Do not rinse. Reapply as needed; generally every couple of hours. Be sure to save your banana skin in the refrigerator or freezer so you don't have to eat another banana for every application.

High intake of cholesterol shown to actually repair damaged brains

Including high-cholesterol foods as part of a healthy diet may not be the poor dietary choice we have all been told it is, suggests a new study published in the journal Nature Medicine. It turns out that cholesterol actually helps increase production of an important component of the nervous system that facilitates proper nerve cell communication, and prevents the onset of brain diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.

The study focused specifically on patients with a condition known as Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD), in which nerve cells are unable to properly manufacture protective myelin sheaths. It is these myelin sheaths, which are composed of lipid fats and proteins, that allow nerves to communicate and send appropriate electrical signals that trigger movement and cognition, and that protect nerves from damage.

Cholesterol, which is commonly dismissed as harmful and something that people should avoid, actually contributes to producing and maintaining myelin sheaths. Without it, as evidenced by the recent studies, individuals with PMD -- and potentially all individuals -- are at a higher risk of developing cognitive illness and brain degradation. And particularly those with PMD, low-cholesterol diets are almost sure to leave them exceptionally prone to nerve damage.

"This six-week-long cholesterol treatment delayed the decline in motor coordination," wrote the scientists in their report. Researchers from the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine in Germany fed a group of mice with PMD a high-cholesterol diet for six weeks, as well as another group of PMD mice a low-cholesterol diet. Those on the high-cholesterol diet stopped experiencing cognitive decline, while the low-cholesterol mice continued to get worse.

Cholesterol appears to be beneficial for everyone

Though the researchers attributed their findings about cholesterol specifically and solely to those with PMD, the implications for all individuals are striking, as the study further reinforces the idea that cholesterol is a necessary component of proper brain and nervous system function in everyone. This unconventional concept has been confirmed in several earlier studies, including a comprehensive study published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. (http://www.jpands.org/vol10no3/colpo.pdf)

"Cholesterol acts to interlock 'lipid molecules,' which stabilize cell membranes," writes Shane Ellison, M.S., in his book Health Myths Exposed. "[C]holesterol is a vital building block for all bodily tissues. Lowering such a vital molecule is absurdity. To illustrate, imagine that your house represents your body and the nails holding it together cholesterol. Now start pulling each and every nail out of the house. What happens? The house turns to a pile of rubble. The same is true for the human body."

Cholesterol-lowering statins are responsible for destroying health, causing Alzheimer's

What this all means for statin drugs, which mainstream medicine has ridiculously dubbed 'miracle drugs,' is that their cholesterol inhibiting properties can cause serious health problems down the road. By interfering with the liver's natural function of producing cholesterol, statin drugs can actually strip the body of much-needed cholesterol, and cause serious nervous system and cognitive damage.

The key to promoting healthy cholesterol levels in the body is not to take synthetic drugs, but rather to achieve vibrant health through proper diet and exercise, which includes a diet rich in healthy saturated fats and, yes, even cholesterol.

"Saturated fat and cholesterol in the diet are not the cause of coronary heart disease," says Dr. George V. Mann, M.D., professor of Medicine and Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. "That myth is the greatest scientific deception of this century, perhaps of any century."

MMR causes autism, proven in Italian court case

For many years the stories from devastated parents have been eerily similar. A young, bright child vaccinated with MMR, has minor side effects such as high temperature and being off food, and then develops the debilitating disability of autism.

Whilst the mainstream medical profession deny the link between autism and the triple shot of measles, mumps and rubella, there have been many who have argued to the contrary. Statistics show the increases in autism correlate alarmingly with the introduction and uptake of the MMR vaccine. And Now in an Italian court, there has been a landmark ruling for a child whose parents claim that his autism was triggered by MMR.

The parents of Valentino Bocca have been awarded 112,000 Euro to be paid by the Italian ministry of health. They are now seeking a further 800,000 Euro in a civil case. The story is a tragic one, Valentino, developing normally, was given the shot at 14 months and started to suffer from diarrhea, lost interest in food and within a few days lost the ability to use his spoon. Worse was soon to come when he began to be restless at night, screaming in pain for hours. It was later found that he was suffering from a painful bowel condition that is common in autistic children. With an adjusted diet of no wheat or milk, he was able to sleep but the autism symptoms continued, and even at the age of nine, he still does not speak.

The case featured three expert witnesses that concurred that "barring preexisting conditions there was a reasonable scientific probability that the MMR jab had triggered Valantino's condition." Judge Lucio Ardigo agreed that it was "conclusively established" that Valentino had suffered from an "autistic disorder associated with medium cognitive delay" and his illness, was linked to receiving the shot. The Italian shot has the same ingredients as the one used in the UK and US.

Proof in court of the link between MMR and autism, but will this be denied by the UK and US?

In the US over 5000 families are known to the mainstream media as believing that the MMR shot has triggered autism in their children, and the real figure could be much higher. Court rulings against the MMR include a 90,000 GBP (Great British Pound) payout for brain damage to a boy called Robert Fletcher, and a $1.5 million payout for Hannah Poling who received MMR and six other vaccinations in one day and then developed autism.

It is small comfort to the families of children who have suffered autism as a result of these vaccines, that there may be a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel. However, the common belief amongst the established medical profession is that it is better to vaccinate a child than not. The forceful way in which the government in both the US and Europe have pushed for vaccination with MMR, has left many parents believing they have no choice, despite the shot being voluntary. In the case of Valentino Bocca this pro-vaccine propaganda was detrimental to the government's case.

With this ruling, there is now a legal precedent in Italy that could cause an opening in the floodgates. Many parents will be looking to obtain their rightful compensation against the governments that have conspired in one of the greatest medical cover-ups of all time. A cover-up that has cost careers, the suffering of children and the lives of their parents.

Nature offers safe and effective blood thinning alternatives to mainstream drugs

Millions of people in the United States take either prescription medications, aspirin or a combination of those drugs to thin their blood. The problem with prescription blood thinners and aspirin is that they all have a number of side effects associated with them, some of which can be fatal. The good news is that nature offers several effective options that are effective and far safer.

Typically, blood thinners are prescribed if you have some kind of heart or blood vessel disease or if you have poor blood flow to your brain. Blood thinners are also prescribed for:

* High blood pressure caused by restricted blood vessels
* Atrial fibrillation (an abnormal heart rhythm)
* Heart valve surgery
* Congenital heart defects

There are two main types of blood thinners. Anticoagulants, such as heparin or warfarin (also called Coumadin), work on chemical reactions in the body to lengthen the time it takes for blood clot formation. Antiplatelet drugs, such as Plavix (Clopidogrel) and aspirin prevent blood cells called platelets from clumping together to form a clot.

Natural Blood Thinners

Two excellent natural blood thinners are cayenne pepper and vitamin C. Both are excellent for the blood vessels and overall cardiovascular health and both are high in antioxidants. Cayenne pepper, sometimes referred to as "the King of Herbs," is considered by many to be the best natural item for the heart. Vitamin C is especially important for maintaining healthy blood vessels.

Turmeric, the major component of the common kitchen spice curcumin, has a world of health benefits including being a good natural blood thinner. It is also a natural immune modulator, a natural anti-inflammatory and is increasingly being recognized as a potent cancer fighter and cancer preventive.

Garlic is widely recognized as one of the most beneficial natural plants for health and is another effective natural blood thinner, thanks primarily to its salicylate content. Salicylates are found in a large number of over the counter medications and are the primary blood thinning agent in aspirin. Garlic is especially good for cardiovascular health and is also a potent natural pathogen destroyer.

Onions, which also contain salicylates, are also good natural blood thinners.

Other good natural blood thinners include:

* Bromelain
* Water
* Cinnamon
* Dill
* Oregano
* Dried fruits and berries, such as raisins, cranberries, prunes and cherries
* Vitamin B6
* Vitamin E
* Gingko biloba

Exercise is also a good natural blood thinner and consuming more vegetables and fruits helps guard against thick blood and other conditions which can lead to the need for blood thinners.

Hawthorn berry is an excellent supplement for cardiovascular health and is particularly effective against atrial fibrillation.

Also, taking several digestive enzymes a few times daily on an empty stomach can help eliminate arterial plaque and dissolve blood clots.

The new AIDS - stubborn infection, Chagas, spread by insects

Chagas, a potentially deadly disease that experts say is spreading like HIV once did in its earliest stages, has been labeled "the new AIDS of America" by a number of tropical disease experts in a recently published editorial.

The authors, writing in the Public Library of Science (PLoS) Neglected Tropical Diseases journal online, said Chagas, which is caused by parasites transmitted to humans by blood-sucking insects, wrote that the disease is currently spreading through our hemisphere.

"It occurred to me one day how similar it is now with Chagas to the early years of the AIDS epidemic when they didn't have good drugs or an understanding of the disease," Dr. Peter Hotez, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College, told the Toronto Star.

The disease is also known as American trypanosomiasis, because the insects who transmit it carry single-cell parasites called trypanosomes. Experts say the best known relative is spread by the tsetse fly in Africa and causes sleeping sickness, which results in swelling of the brain.

Chagas infects 300,000 in the U.S.

One report said the disease is often transmitted by "kissing bugs," a sub-family of blood suckers that are also known as assassin bugs that like to target the lip area (hence their name).

The authors, several of whom are experts from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, said that like AIDS, the incubation time for Chagas disease is long, and it is very hard to cure once a person contracts it.

It infects about 8 million people in the hemisphere but they mostly live in Bolivia, Mexico, Central America and Colombia. Still, about 300,000 people infected with Chagas live in the U.S. - many of whom are immigrants, The New York Times reported.

According to reports, Chagas can be transmitted to children by the mother, or it can be contracted through a blood transfusion. Some 25 percent of victims will develop an enlarged heart or intestines, which can then fail or burst, causing instant death.

Treatment isn't much better; it involves very harsh medications that have to be taken for as long as three months. And they only work if the disease is caught early, which is a problem because, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Infection (CDC), while acute Chagas disease occurs immediately after infection, it "may be mild or asymptomatic."

"There may be fever or swelling around the site of inoculation (where the parasite entered into the skin or mucous membrane). Rarely, acute infection may result in severe inflammation of the heart muscle or the brain and lining around the brain," the CDC said on its Web site.

'Forgotten disease among forgotten people'

While the drugs are not as expensive as AIDS medications, they are in short supply in poorer countries. And, because the disease tends to occur more in the poor, not much money is being spent on finding new treatments, much less a cure. The disease kills about 20,000 people a year.

"Both diseases are highly stigmatizing," the editorial said.

The worst part may just be that few people know about Chagas, because not much is being said about it.

"It's a forgotten disease among forgotten people," Baylor's Hotez said. "Can you imagine having 300,000 people in the suburbs with a serious case of heart disease caused by a bug? We wouldn't tolerate it as a society, but because it's happening to an indigenous people, we're silent."

Right now, Chagas kills about 20,000 people a year. But researchers and experts like Hotez are worried that figures could rise dramatically in the coming months and years.

The Star reported that Hotez and his staff "are working on developing a prototype vaccine that would be given after exposure to Chagas, like a rabies vaccine."

Giving the gift of Gluten Free

Holiday time can be somewhat depressing for those unable to eat gluten rich foods. It's so sad really....think holiday goodies and you'll probably have a hard time coming up with many that don't involve wheat flour.

I love holiday baked goods! Actually, I adore them! When I realized that I couldn't eat flour anymore, my main thought next to not eating bread was "What about the Christmas baking?"

I've yet been able to replace sandwich bread to my satisfaction but I have found that sweets like cakes, brownies and cookies can be very good indeed. In fact, I have found some recipes that are definitely just as good as wheat flour baking.

Previously, I blogged a brownie recipe that I really love. There's only one problem ....I hate getting all the ingredients out to make it. So much work and such a huge mess for one tray of brownies.

With that thought in mind, I reworked my favorite brownie recipe into a mix. Now I just have to pull the ingredients out once in awhile, make up a bunch of mixes and put them away until the urge for brownies hits. When it does, all I have to do is grab a mix, add eggs, vanilla and oil and cook. How easy is that? Really easy...the only thing easier would be for someone to make the mixes for me!

Which is where giving the gift of gluten free comes in. If you know someone (or are someone) who can't have gluten, I bet they would love to receive a gift that not only feeds their cravings for baked goods but is fast and easy as well.

This recipe is a little different than the original recipe I posted and I like it even more...the brownies are thicker and the texture is smoother.

Gluten Free Brownie Mix

1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Tapioca Flour/Starch
1/4 Cup Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Gluten Free Flour (I use Sweet Sorghum or Brown Rice)
1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips or Chopped Nuts (optional)

Place all ingredients into containers and seal. I line up large plastic cups on the counter and place a cellophane bag into each cup. I then measure out the sugar into each bag and then follow with the rest of the ingredients. Once you've measured out all the ingredients add a tag giving the directions as follows.

Chocolate Brownies

Add ½ cup melted margarine or oil, 2 lightly beaten eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract to contents of package. Mix. Pour into greased 8 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not overcook. Cool and slice.

I serve these brownies with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce...sooooo good!

Here's the hot fudge sauce recipe. It's very tasty and will keep for quite a few days in the fridge...if it's around that long!

Hot Fudge Sauce

In a small sauce pan combine the following:

4 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
6 Tbsp Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
3 Tbsp Butter/Margarine

Bring mixture to a full boil and remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly then add 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract.

Enjoy!!
PS...the tags in the picture mention that the brownies will fall...not anymore...the recipe has been reworked.

Radioactive buckyballs from Fukushima invade California beaches

As the fallout - no pun intended - from Japan's tsunami-damaged nuclear reactors at its Fukushima complex continues to worsen, scientists are now concerned about another related phenomenon that appears to be invading the U.S. West Coast - buckyballs.

What, exactly, are those? According to a recent University of California - Davis study, in this case the term refers to uranium-filled nanospheres which were "created from the millions of tons of fresh and salt water used to try to cool down the three molten cores of the stricken reactors," said Michael Collins, of EnviroReporter.com - not the small, magnetic balls that cling to each other.

The tiny, stout buckyballs - which resemble soccer balls - are said to have been formed when water hit the super-heated, primarily uranium-oxide, fuel in the damaged reactors at Fukushima. "In this goo buckyballs are formed, loaded with uranium and able to move quickly through water without disintegrating," said the report.

Worse, radiation readings in L.A. and Santa Monica during a 42-day period between December 2011 and January 2012, "strongly suggest that radiation is increasing in the region including along the coast in Ventura County," Collins said, adding that readings both he and the Environmental Protection Agency took appeared to indicate the unnatural presence of radiation.

"Southern California is still getting hit by Fukushima radiation at alarmingly high levels that will inevitably increase as the main bulk of polluted Pacific Ocean water reaches North America over the next two years," he asserted.

Radiation believed to be five times normal levels along parts of West Coast

Collins said he began monitoring for increased levels of radiation within four days after a devastating earthquake-caused tsunami struck the Fukushima complex, heavily damaging at least three of the site's nuclear reactors. Today, he says, radiation levels at both the Los Angeles and Santa Monica sites are about 5.3 times the norm. The Santa Monica site transmits radiation readings to the L.A. Basin area 24/7, Collins said.

The author noted that more than 1,500 radiation tests have been conducted in the area since the disaster, including samples taken in a commercial airliner.

"[E]ven accounting for higher radiation at higher altitudes, readings were more than five times normal according to the manufacturer of our Inspector Alert nuclear radiation monitor," Collins wrote.

The U.C. - Davis study said the radioactive buckyballs were hearty and potentially able to "transport uranium over long distances," being stable and consistent in the absence of peroxide.

While experts in the mainstream media debate whether any toxic levels of radiation are already bombarding the U.S. West Coast or if it is on its way, what is known is that radiation, in some forms, has already made it to American waters.

NaturalNews.com reported May 30 that tuna caught off California's coastline contained higher-than-normal levels of radiation, though most scientists said and continue to say, such levels are safe. http://www.naturalnews.com/036022_Fukushima_radiation_food_supply.html

"I wouldn't tell anyone what's safe to eat or what's not safe to eat," Daniel Madigan of Stanford University's Hopkins Marine Station, told Reuters. "It's become clear that some people feel that any amount of radioactivity, in their minds, is bad and they'd like to avoid it. But compared to what's there naturally ... and what's established as safety limits, it's not a large amount at all."

Madigan said researchers found higher levels of two radioactive isotopes of the cesium element, 137 - which was present in the eastern Pacific before the disaster at Fukushima Daiichi - and 134, which is caused only by manmade activities and wasn't present before the tsunami smashed into the plant.

Better off having radioactivity in the ocean?

Ken Buesseler, a Senior Scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, wrote on CNN.com that the fact most of Fukushima's radioactive fallout landed in the ocean, rather than on land, was actually a good thing.

"In many ways we were fortunate that impacts were largely confined to the ocean. Certainly, the Japanese people continue to feel devastating effects of so large a release within their country, and many people may never be able to return to their homes. But in general the winds during the height of the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant were blowing offshore," he said.

"As a result, more than three-quarters of the radioactivity fell on the ocean. This is important, as any that lands on soil remains in place, resulting in the potential for greater human exposure and increased chances of contamination to food supplies and property," Buesseler continued.

Nevertheless, some radioactive measurements show disturbing trends, he said, such as levels "of radioactivity found in fish are not decreasing and there appear to be hot spots on the seafloor that are not well mapped."

5 health steps the system does NOT want you to take

Let's face it, the system wants you sick. They build giant hospitals, develop expensive pharmaceuticals, and design equipment small governments couldn't afford, all so they can rake in the life savings of hapless victi, er, people who find themselves at the mercy of Big Medical after making poor health choices their entire lives, albeit often choices they were told were good. By the time they are lying in a hospital bed with cancer at 60, waiting for another round of expensive, destructive chemotherapy, they have no idea what, or who, caused it, or what they could have done to perhaps avoid being sick in the first place.

In truth, there are no magic bullets, no guarantees against the big C and other dreaded diseases. We are exposed to so many toxins daily that the fact we're even alive is a testimony to the awesome disease-fighting capabilities of the human body. However, there are steps everyone can take to mitigate and even eliminate some of the toxins that make it so difficult for the body's immune system to do its job properly.

Diet and exercise are about the only things major media outlets seem to focus on, and those are certainly important. But when most people that think of 'diet' think of things like drinking diet soda instead of regular and eating aspartame laced yogurt for dessert instead of cheesecake, it's abundantly clear that society has a clear misunderstanding of the right things to consume and avoid in order to achieve optimal health. So, go ahead, peel apart the layers of deception and begin your journey down the rabbit hole. What you will find could quite literally save your life.

Five basic health-steps the system does NOT want you to take

1.) Vaccines - Whether or not there is good science behind the concept of introducing small amounts of pathogens to build immunity to the 'real thing' is, sadly, really a moot point considering the toxic adjuvants and preservatives that come with vaccines. Without even covering the allergic reactions and immediate long and short-term side effects many experience, is the cumulative buildup of mercury, aluminum, and a host of other trouble-makers in the body really worth potentially avoiding a few mostly non-lethal childhood diseases?

2.) Supplements - Not your typical WalMart synthetic brand, but routine, organic, plant-based supplements are a huge key to replacing the nutrients that even the most health-conscious of us miss out on simply because the food we grow today is lacking so many nutrients. The body uses these nutrients to fight off disease, naturally. So give it what it needs!

3.) Water filtration - Fluoride, arsenic, chlorine, lead, and even chemical and pharmaceutical runoffs are just a few of the things our bodies would really rather do without. Do your research, invest in a high quality water filter, and give your body the water it needs minus the toxins.

4.) Label awareness - HFCS, MSG, aspartame, sucralose, partially-hydrogenated - these are some of the things an informed label reader will look for and avoid like the plagues they are.

5.) GMOs - Potentially the most important non-nuclear threat of our time, GMOs could mean the end of the food supply as we know it. Currently there are no labeling laws, so one must buy USDA Organic to avoid GMO. It may be more expensive but, as Joel Salatin so aptly put it, "If you think organic foods are expensive, have you priced cancer lately?"

Note: All of these steps center around what we choose to allow into our bodies. If we make the right choices, we stand a better chance of allowing our immune systems to eliminate the toxins we unavoidably encounter every day, a better chance of not becoming just another Big Medical statistic!
